Brand new music Videos
Last month, Bryan Adams announced the release of his thirteenth studio album, Get Up, and now, EW is excited to premiere the music video for its first single, “Brand New Day.” Directed by Adams, the video was shot in black and white and stars Helena Bonham Carter and Theo Hutchcraft from the band Hurts.
Adams is an accomplished photographer as well as a singer-songwriter — his last photography book, Wounded — The Legacy of War, came out in 2013 — and told EW he’s been “making little films” for a decade, so it was no surprise he directed the video. Adams said he and Bonham Carter have known each other for 10 years and he had asked her to participate. “We’ve worked together a couple times doing stills, ” he wrote in an email. “She’s a brilliant actor.”
